GRAND PRIZE SWEEPSTAKES


NHL Event Grand Prizes.

On or about December 1, 2011, at approximately 3:00 PM ET in Toronto, Ontario, three (3) random draws will be conducted from all eligible entries received during the Grand Prize Contest Period. The first selected entrant will be eligible to win their choice of a trip to an NHL Event from among certain available NHL events as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion at the time of drawing. Once an NHL Event is chosen as a Grand Prize, it will no longer be available. The second selected entrant will be eligible to win from among the remaining NHL Events available. The third selected entrant will be eligible to win from among the NHL Events remaining after the first and second selected entrants have made their NHL Events choices. The odds of being selected as eligible to win an NHL Event Grand Prize (as defined in Rule 5B below) will depend on the total number of eligible entries received.



If you are selected as eligible to win one of the NHL Event Grand Prizes, you will be contacted by telephone by the contest judging organization within approximately two (2) business days of the draw at the telephone number you provided when you registered. See prize claim conditions in Paragraph C below.



C. PRIZE CLAIM CONDITIONS

Before being declared the winner of any prize, each selected entrant must first correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical, electronic or otherwise, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered at a mutually convenient time by telephone. Each selected entrant will also be required to complete and return to Sponsor (or its authorized agent) by the deadline specified in the documents a written declaration and release (the "Declaration and Release"), declaring that the entrant is eligible to win the prize in accordance with these Official Contest Rules and releasing Sponsor, the NHL Entities, participating retailers, and all of their respective directors, officers, owners, partners, shareholders, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns from any liability in connection with this Contest, or the use, misuse or possession of any prize and any travel related thereto. Prizes will only be awarded to verified winners. Allow 6-8 weeks delivery for Weekly Prizes after return of a completed Declaration and Release.




PRIZES




A. WEEKLY PRIZE

There are four (4) Weekly Prizes available to be won each week. Each Weekly Prize consists of EITHER (i) a $250.00 gift card, gift certificate or redemption code redeemable at shop.canada.nhl.com OR (ii) an EA Sports NHL 12 Hockey Game for the console of your choice (approximate retail value $69.99 CDN).



There are one hundred (100) Weekly Prizes available to be won at the start of the Contest Period. Two (2) Weekly Prizes of a shop.canada.nhl.com gift card and two (2) Weekly Prizes of an EA Sports NHL 12 Hockey Game will be awarded per week during the Weekly Prize Period. The first two (2) entrants selected each week by random draw, if all prize claim conditions described herein are met, will both receive a shop.canada.nhl.com gift card, and the second two (2) entrants selected will both receive an EA Sports NHL 12 Hockey Game. The number of Weekly Prizes available will diminish as claimed. The total retail value of the Weekly Prizes is $15,999.50 CDN.



B. GRAND PRIZE

There are three (3) NHL Event Grand Prizes available to be won.



Each NHL Event Grand Prize consists of a trip for four (4) to a 2012 NHL Event to be selected by the winner from among certain NHL events as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion at the time of the drawing of the Grand Prize. For example purposes only, the available NHL Events may include the 2012 NHL All-Star Game, the 2012 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic, the 2012 NHL Awards or a Stanley Cup Final game. Each trip includes return economy airfare from the Canadian International Airport nearest the winner's place of residence (the "Departure Point") to the location of the selected NHL Event; three consecutive nights hotel accommodation, based on two rooms, each double occupancy; four (4) tickets to the selected NHL Event; and $1,500.00 CDN spending money. Trip to be taken between December 29, 2011 and June 30, 2012. Travel dates will determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Approximate value of each NHL Event Grand Prize is $6,500.00 CDN, based on Toronto, Ontario departure and Montreal, Quebec NHL Event location. Actual value may vary, depending on point of departure and NHL Event location.



All costs not outlined in the above Grand Prize descriptions are the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize Winners and their guests including, without limitation, applicable taxes, fuel/currency surcharges, meals, beverages, room service, merchandise, souvenirs, local and long distance telephone calls, internet access, medical and travel insurance, any required travel documentation, and all personal expenses of any kind or nature, including personal excursions, together with any applicable overnight layover charges. Winners and guests of the Grand Prize Winners must have a valid passport and any other necessary travel documentation in order to attend any NHL Event in the United States; Winners and guests of the Grand Prize Winners must have valid photo I.D. and any other necessary travel documentation in order to attend an NHL Event in Canada. Grand Prize Winners and guests are also solely responsible for all costs incurred to and from the Departure Point as the Grand Prize originates and terminates there. Travel must be arranged through Sponsor and departure dates are subject to availability.



No Grand Prize Winner's guest can be changed after that guest's declaration and release (the "Guest Release") has been executed and received by Sponsor and the Guest Release must be executed and received by Sponsor prior to the awarding of any prize. The Grand Prize will be forfeited if a) the required travel documents are unattainable for any reason within the time required by Sponsor; b) winner is unable or unwilling to travel on the dates required; c) a winner who has selected an NHL Event Grand Prize that will take place in the United States does not have the right, at the time of being selected in the draw and/or at the time of the trip, to re-enter Canada after leaving the country; or d) if any immigration complications arise which prevent a winner and/or guest from entering the destination. In the latter event, the winner or guest, as the case may be, will be solely responsible for arranging and paying for travel back to the Departure Point. Any prize forfeited may, at Sponsor's option, be awarded to an alternate entrant.



PRIZES MUST BE ACCEPTED AS AWARDED. THE PRIZES MAY NOT BE SOLD, TRANSFERRED AND ARE NOT CONVERTIBLE TO CASH. NO CHANGE IN TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS CAN BE MADE ONCE THE BOOKING HAS BEEN CONFIRMED. THE PRIZES MAY NOT BE USED TOWARDS ANY TYPE OF FREQUENT FLYER MILEAGE ACCUMULATION PROGRAM. BOOKING IS SUBJECT TO 100% CANCELLATION PENALTIES AND CANCELLATION INSURANCE IS NOT AVAILABLE. SPONSOR RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SUBSTITUTE THE PRIZE IN WHOLE OR IN PART IN THE EVENT THAT ANY COMPONENT OF THE PRIZE IS UNAVAILABLE.



C. GENERAL PRIZE CONDITIONS

Prizes must be accepted as awarded and may not be substituted, transferred or redeemed for cash or otherwise; however, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value at its sole discretion, if a prize, or any component of any prize, cannot be awarded as described herein for any reason. Sponsor and the NHL Entities make no representations or warranties, and disclaim any implied warranties, with respect to the Grand Prizes, the Weekly Prizes or the merchandise for which the Weekly Prizes are redeemed. Winners are solely responsible for all costs not specifically identified above as included in the prize. Limit: One (1) Grand Prize per household. Limit: One (1) Weekly Prize per household.
