Fort George National Historic Site of Canada

We took the kids to Fort George National Historic Site of Canada

During the War of 1812, Fort George served as the headquarters for the Centre Division of the British Army. These forces included British regulars, local militia, aboriginal warriors, and Runchey's corps of freed slaves. Fort George was destroyed by American artillery fire and captured during the Battle of Fort George in May 1813.

I say you try to go when they are doing the

•Regular military, musket and artillery demonstrations
•Regular military music demonstrations

The demonstrations make it for sure worth while and educational and the kids and yourself will find it very interesting to watch.

We saw the cannons going off which was great but loud so we had our ears plugged and no pictures of that.
You have to see it.

But here are some pictures of our day.

We had a great day.

This is what we saw coming home.
Thought it was different so i had to take a picture of it.

Albion Falls

We went to Albion Falls which can be tough to get down to but worth doing. Make sure you wear proper shoes and clothing. You will want to take off your shoes and walk closer to the falls or be like me and get your shoes and socks wet.

It is very beautiful

We enjoyed ourselves as it has been along time since we had been there

Free to park and view at Albion Falls

Our youngest son was unsure about getting closer to the falls so he sat with his big brother to feel safe.

My Husband and i enjoying the waterfall in close view

Our boys now moving in closer

Our youngest now wants to get right close to the falls with his brother

Now he wants to touch the water.

Now heading back to the parking lot there is a bridge and a path

Presque Isle State Park

Second day of trip continued

We made it to our Hotel Towne Place Suites by Marriott, which was very modern looking and comfortable.
It is a very busy area and lots of shopping and dining around this area of Erie Pennsylvania. We did a little bit of shopping after we went to the hotel  just by looking and did not purchase a thing. It was time to go back to the hotel and get washed up and ready for dinner. We went to Toreros Mexican Restaurants Lots of food and lots of choices off the menu.

after dinner we thought we would go to Presque Isle State Park which is a long beach area for walking, roller blading and bicycling and swimming.
It was so nice and breezy and lots of waves at Presque Isle

We had a great time and a wonderful last evening before the next day of getting ready to go home.
