Hawk Lake Log Chute

Rebuilt in early 2005
There’s been a log chute on this site since 1861 and this chute is now the only one of its kind in Ontario.
 No admission to get in
1584 Big Hawk Lake Rd

There is a loop trail on site and we did not do it as we had a long busy day we just wanted to see the log chute.

Ragged Falls

During our trip into Dorset another area we wanted to check out was Ragged Falls
which runs from Oxtongue River
Hwy 60 at the western edge of Algonquin Provincial Park.

This was a great waterfall and there were rocks to climb on and get close to the falls.
You do have to pay for parking and there are 3 different amounts to choose from
an all day pass for $14.25 or a 4 hour pass for $7.25 or what we did was a 2 hour pass for $5.25

I did a little video if you would like to watch
