My Husband and I with our youngest son went a way for a few nights to Ottawa, Ontario
which took about 6 hours to get there.
The first thing we did as it was the furthest away from our hotel was go to
There is so much to see and read and learn about our history. You can easily spend many hours there and take your time to go through this museum.

My Husband knew that once we got to Ottawa we wanted to leave our car at the hotel till the day we left. We walked everywhere. From our hotel it was roughly a 20 minute walk to Parliament Hill. Most of the main attractions if you are staying in the downtown core are within walking distance.
My Husband and I had the bedroom and our son had the living room which the sofa opens up into a bed. The stay was nice. They had a continental breakfast as part of the stay which was okay.
They also have Kitchenettes complete with microwave, coffee maker, mini refrigerator, and dinnerware to use.
